Valentines Day 2012 Illustration Series

I'm not a huge fan of Valentines Day. It's not that I'm not some sort of dour singleton-- I don't hate the holiday or anything. Rather, I'd say that my attitude regardless of being single or taken is best summed up as being 'generally apathetic to its existence.' That said, I'm always happy when there is a reason to make art, be it holiday-that-I-don't-observe-based or otherwise. I mean, really, how many of us who make Christmassy art actually believe Jesus arose and walked on water? Illustration in The Telegraph

New illustration for a Lyonsdown supplement cover in the UK newspaper, The Telegraph. It's a mouse standing in a sea of mousetraps, trying to figure out how to reach the big cheese. Metaphor for business risks and rewards and such. Watch out for it in a soon-to-come issue. Original: Acrylic on board. 15"x20" Click to see a larger version.
